| Take a look on www.jobserve.co.uk and look at the rates on offer. London contracts normally start at £500 a day. Outside of London and it is more like £300-500.
The agencies want very experienced Project managers with 5 years + of full life cycle experience to get these rates. If you are just qualified I doubt they will be interested no matter what certifications you have. This is what I have found over the last 12 months.

| Rates vary. You could charge anything from as little as £300 to £1200 per day. It depends on the size of the client, the size of the project, etc. You should charge by the day not the hour. If you need to travel or stay away from home make sure it is clear that you will charge for that as well.

| Hi
I'm a newly certified IT project manager in London, wanting to start my own IT project management services company. Could anyone tell me what rates are the norm in the industry for project management consultants. I've worked in a large organisation as part of an IT division, so I'm not knowledgable on what the going rate is for IT project manager consultant fees are. Are they per project value or per hour?
Thanks.
